I'm an Psychologist and the founder of Mind + Me.

For many years, I've worked alongside children, teenagers, and families, helping them better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and build on their strengths. I'm particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people and working collaboratively with families, schools, and support teams to create environments where young people can thrive.

If you're a young person reading this, welcome. And if you're a parent reading along, you're welcome too.

My role isn't to judge, label, or try to "fix" anyone. It's to help young people understand themselves better, feel more confident, and find ways to make life feel more manageable.

Young people come to see me for lots of different reasons. Some feel overwhelmed by emotions, school, or friendships. Some are trying to understand how their brain works. Others are navigating anxiety, stress, identity, or significant changes in their lives. There's no single reason someone "should" come to therapy and there's no expectation to have the right words before starting.

Therapy is a space where young people can:

  • Talk things through at their own pace

  • Ask questions and get clear, honest answers

  • Better understand their strengths and needs

  • Learn tools that support everyday life

  • Feel respected, listened to, and safe being themselves

I take a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach, focusing on understanding how each young person experiences the world rather than what may be difficult for them. Therapy is always tailored to the individual and may involve conversations, practical strategies, creative approaches, parent support, or collaboration with schools and other professionals.

I also believe that supporting young people means supporting the people around them. I enjoy working closely with parents and carers, helping them better understand their child and feel more confident in navigating the challenges that can arise along the way.

You don't have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes it's about understanding yourself better. Sometimes it's about getting through a tough patch. Sometimes it's simply about having a space where things make a little more sense.

When you're ready, I'd love to hear your story.

My journey into psychology began in the classroom. Before becoming a psychologist, I spent more than 15 years working as an English and Life Orientation teacher, supporting children and adolescents through some of the most important years of their development. It was during this time that I became fascinated by how young people grow, learn, cope with challenges, and develop their sense of self.

As both an educator and psychologist, I've had the privilege of walking alongside young people through many different experiences and life stages. I understand that every child and teenager is unique, and that their wellbeing is shaped by a combination of their strengths, relationships, environment, and experiences.

I work with children and adolescents navigating anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem difficulties, and life transitions. I also enjoy supporting neurodivergent young people, including those with ADHD and Autism, and am passionate about creating an affirming space where differences are understood, respected, and celebrated.

Families often describe me as calm, warm, and approachable. I believe that meaningful change happens when young people feel safe enough to be themselves and supported enough to explore both their challenges and their strengths. My goal is to help young people better understand themselves, build confidence in who they are, and develop practical tools that support their wellbeing both now and into the future.

I value working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals, recognising that young people thrive when the important people in their lives work together to support them.

It is a privilege to be invited into a young person's story, and I look forward to meeting yours.

Hi, I'm Caitlin

I'm a psychologist who works with children, teenagers, and their families.

Growing up isn't always easy. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, friendships can become complicated, school can be stressful, or you might be trying to better understand yourself and how your brain works. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood.

I work alongside young people and their families to make sense of challenges, build on strengths, and develop practical strategies that help everyday life feel a little easier. I have experience supporting children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, friendship difficulties, school challenges, and neurodiversity, including Autism and ADHD.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and neuro-affirming. I believe that every young person has unique strengths, and that understanding ourselves is often the first step toward growth and confidence. Together, we'll explore what's working well, what's feeling difficult, and what supports might help.

I also enjoy supporting parents and carers. Parenting doesn't come with a manual, and I believe families do best when everyone feels heard, supported, and equipped with the knowledge and tools they need.

Sessions are tailored to each individual and may include conversations, visual tools, activities, psychoeducation, and practical strategies that can be used in everyday life. My aim is always to make therapy feel engaging, meaningful, and relevant to the young person sitting in front of me.

Alongside therapy, I have a strong interest in psychological, cognitive, and learning assessments. Assessments can provide valuable insight into how a young person thinks, learns, and experiences the world, helping families, schools, and support teams better understand how to nurture their strengths and provide the right supports.

I feel privileged to be part of young people's journeys and would love to meet you and hear your story.

I've always loved working with young people and creating a space where they feel comfortable being themselves. Whether a child is navigating worries, friendship challenges, school stress, or simply trying to understand themselves better, I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported.

I completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and developed a strong interest in child and adolescent mental health early in my career. Through my experience supporting young people and their families, including completing Autism and ADHD assessments, I've developed a deep appreciation for the many different ways young minds work and experience the world.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and neuro-affirming. I take the time to get to know each young person as an individual - their strengths, interests, challenges, and goals -so that support feels meaningful and relevant to them. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), adapting sessions to suit each child's unique needs and personality.

I work with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, stress, friendship difficulties, school challenges, life transitions, and neurodiversity, including Autism and ADHD. I believe that behaviour always has a story, and that understanding a young person's experiences, strengths, and needs is often the first step toward positive change.

I also value working closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals, recognising that young people thrive when the important people in their lives work together to support them.

Outside of the clinic, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, family, and friends, cuddling animals, trying out new craft projects, or exploring a new café or cuisine.

I'd love to meet you and hear your story.
